What's happening
“Art ignited my journey since childhood, sparked by a sketchbook at age ten. Training in Decorative Arts at Camberwell School of Arts in 1990 ignited my love for textile-based craftsmanship, furthered by a Post-Graduate study in Contemporary Tapestry weaving at West Dean College in 2001.
In the nineties, I explored concepts through wall drawings and mixed weavings, blending traditional materials like wool with unconventional items. Influenced by urban culture, Graffitiinspired woven words became my signature. "Everyone Invited" was a residency at the Phoenix Gallery called "Watch This Space" in 2003, incorporating objects into temporary installations, some woven into on-site tapestries, capturing moments in time.” D.
