Fama Diouf

Spring Show - “Trans-Cultural Narrative Expressions”

About

Fama Diouf

Fama Diouf, our latest find, is a trailblazer who dismantles stereotypes and celebrates cultural diversity through her art. Growing up in a multicultural household, she developed a profound appreciation for the richness of various cultures. Her artistic journey began during her extensive travels, where she absorbed the nuances of different societies. Renowned as the "African Mona Lisa," Fama's work challenges societal norms by reimagining historical and cultural figures within an African context. She infuses her art with powerful narratives that transcend borders and resonate globally.

What's happening

Despite facing challenges like the cancellation of the Dak'Art Biennale in May 2024, we remain steadfast in our support of Fama.

Your contributions to her limited print edition not only sustain her artistic pursuits but also empower her to continue pushing boundaries and inspiring change through her art. We eagerly anticipate the unveiling of her upcoming collection, "Infra Red," this November 2024, and look forward to hosting a celebratory event in her honour in 2025.
