Running as part of the renowned Brighton Fringe and Artists Open House, this exhibition is your opportunity to:  

- Showcase Your Art: Reach a diverse, art-loving audience in one of the UK’s most vibrant creative hubs.

Why This Theme?

‍‍Time is a shared experience. It’s fleeting, precious, and yet universally available. Through this exhibition, we challenge artists to think: How does time influence the way we live, love, and create? Your interpretation could inspire others to see their time and their lives in new ways.

Who Can Apply?

‍We’re seeking bold, visionary local artists from across the Sussex and beyond. Whether you’re student, emerging, established or self-taught, we want your unique perspective and voice to be part of this collective exploration.

Key Details & How to Register for the Open Call

- Submission Dates: January 19, 2024 – March 21, 2025.

- Finalists announcement: Saturday 28 March, 6pm.
- Exhibit Opens: April 15, 2025 as part of Brighton Fringe and Artists Open House.

- Location: Mid Street Lab Gallery, 80 St George's Road, BN2 1EF, Brighton.  
- Registration Fee: £10 per artwork (submit up to 3 artworks). Preferred rate applies for students, low income, support and benefits.
- Mediums and Size Accepted: All! From paintings and photography to sculpture, digital art and beyond we celebrate creativity in every form. Maximum size 180cm x 200cm or 80cmx150cmx70cm and must be transportable by no more than 2 people.
- How to Apply: Submit your portfolio (photo of your submitted work to b considered) by email to info@midstreetlab.com ‍with an artist’s statement and a brief outline of your proposed work for the exhibition.

This is more than an exhibition, it’s a chance to make your time count, to connect deeply through your work, and to inspire others to see the world through your lens.
